St Bonaventure’s has a consistently high record of success at GCSE and students achieved 81% A*-Cs in 2006-7. Many of our boys progress onto our Joint Sixth Form Centre, containing over 750 students. This is shared with our sister school, St Angela’s.
St Bonaventure’s has an excellent reputation and this was again commended by OFSTED in their inspection in February 2006 and reaffirmed St Bonaventure's as an outstanding school. “As it is recognised in the local community, St Bonaventure's is an outstanding school of which students, parents, staff, governors and the diocese are rightly proud. Since its last inspection six years ago, the school has sustained the rich quality of education on offer to the boys in this area of East London. The harmonious cultural diversity among the boys is a distinctive feature”. The School has also been awarded Investors in People and ArtsMark status.
The DCSF also confirmed that as St Bonaventure's is an excellent school, it has been awarded a third specialism in Vocationalism (Applied Learning) for April 2008 to enhance our work as a Technology & Language College.
The Governors are, therefore, anxious to appoint energetic and ambitious staff who are able to maintain these high standards.
