GENERAL TEACHING COUNCIL OF SCOTLAND

In public sector schools in Scotland teaching staff are required to be currently registered with the General Teaching Council of Scotland (GTCs) before they can take up a teaching post. The GTCs is a statutory body and its principal role is the maintenance and enhancement of professional standards in the teaching profession in Scotland. The fee for initial registration is £40.
